Broadway impresario Gary Blake (Dick Powell) produces a satirical musical with lead Mona Merrick (Alice Faye) as "The Richest Girl in the World," a patent dig at notorious socialite Mimi Caraway (Madeleine Carroll). When the real Mimi appears at the theater outraged, Blake falls for her, setting in motion all sorts of wacky events. Frolicsome musical-comedy co-stars the Ritz Brothers, Alan Mowbray, Walter Catlett; among the Irving Berlin tunes are "I've Got My Love to Keep Me Warm," "This Year’s Kisses." 89 min. Standard; Soundtrack: English Dolby Digital stereo; audio commentary; featurettes; deleted scene; photo gallery.
