Widowed Paris translator Sandra Kinsler (Léa Seydoux) gamely tried to navigate care for her 8-year-old daughter (Camille Leban Martins) as well as her academic father (Pascal Greggory), in decline from neurodegenerative disease. Her complicated circumstances would become even more so, as she fell into an affair with Clément (Melvil Poupaud), an unhappily married friend of her husband.
