After a family loses their home in Algeria to French colonialists towards the end of World War II, the three displaced brothers grow up very differently after landing in various countries. One joins the French army, one becomes a political radical, and another enters a life of crime, but the trio eventually reunites in the savage fight for Algerian independence.
