The Painted Veil

In 1920s Shanghai, British doctor Walter Fane (Edward Norton) learns of his wife Kitty's (Naomi Watts) infidelity with a charming politician (Liev Schreiber). Walter angrily drags her along when he's posted to a remote cholera-ravaged region of China, where the young couple struggles to keep their relationship alive, even when faced with news of Kitty's pregnancy.
