Franny (Eve Hewson) and Dan (Avan Jogia) are 22, fresh-faced and unemployed - and they're about to get married. Much to the chagrin of Frannys straight-laced mother (Andie MacDowell), the couple follows through with their impromptu LA County courthouse wedding. Hired to write for a television game show, Franny is drawn into the intoxicating world of studio lots, catered lunches, and egos. Dan meanwhile lands a job as a full-time dog-sitter to a C-list celebrity that requires them to move into the starlets home. Between juggling her new career and a growing closeness with an attractive coworker, Franny begins to pull away from Dan. Realizing this but unable to articulate his feelings, Dan retreats into his work at the house with only the dogs and the starlets diary for company. PAPER YEAR is a story about love, choices, and the challenges of growing together.
