Robert Young was at his best when he was able to showcase his disarming personality, as in these two gems. Young stars in "Paradise for Three" as a broke jobseeker whose contest-winning jingle earns him a free stay at an Alpine ski resort. But he really gets treated like royalty when the staff mistakes him for a slumming millionaire who's supposed to be incognito. Frank Morgan, Mary Astor, Florence Rice co-star. AKA: "Romance for Three." Then, Young stars in director Tod Browning's "Miracles for Sale" as an illusionist out to expose fake spiritualists. Matters get dire and creepy for him when he's enlisted to solve a murder supposedly committed by a killer from "another world." Rice, Gloria Holden, and Lee Bowman also star. 149 min. total on two discs. Standard; Soundtrack: English Dolby Digital mono.
