Piece of Sky

The work required at a food processing plant is equated with the claustrophobic experience of prison life, in this emotional drama from France. As seen through parallel narratives following a convict (Séverine Caneele) whose mysterious crime has taken her from one hell into another, and a union leader (Sophie Leboutte) suffering diminished clout, the film stokes a fire of righteous political anger.
