An embarrassing wardrobe malfunction involving Fat Amy (Rebel Wilson) during a performance at Lincoln Center results in the Barden Bellas being suspended from the world of a capella competition. In an effort to get reinstated, Beca (Anna Kendrick) and the girls must win a cutthroat international championship, a feat which no American group has ever managed.
