With her first gallery show in Manhattan looming, an aspiring painter (Cecilia Peck) heads home to finish the piece de resistance─a portrait of her esteemed parents (Gregory Peck, Lauren Bacall). On her arrival, though, the folks are oddly uncooperative, and her pressuring for the reasons why lead to some sobering truths.
