Cheryl Ladd is a dedicated nurse, Ken Wahl a Navy doctor involved in a stormy romance set against the backdrop of the Vietnam War. Because she lost a husband to the war already, Ladd hesitates to commit her heart to Wahl in spite of their passionate encounters.
