Railways of the Netherlands

As the turn of the century approached, railways of the Netherlands were in a state of transition. Older types of locomotives such as the elderly 'Blue Angel' were fast disappearing to be replaced by the ultramodern multiple unit trains. This program shows, in great detail, the international long and short distance trains to countries such as Germany, Belgium, Italy and many more. The Netherlands may be flat but the many waterways and scenic features from all across the country featured in the program, add character to make this release a true Dutch experience.
