After an Indian attack on a stagecoach results in a huge payroll robbery and his fiancée's death, gunfighter Randolph Scott sets out on a bitter search for the villain who engineered the raid, in "Coroner Creek" (1948). Forrest Tucker, George Macready, Edgar Buchanan co-star. Scott plays the leader of "The Doolins of Oklahoma" (1949), the last of the Wild West outlaws, who faces changing times and lawmen out to stop his crime spree. Macready, John Ireland, Louise Allbritton co-star. Idle chatter over a poker table leads to a desert expedition for a lost, gold-laden wagon train--and deadly consequences--in "The Walking Hills" (1949). Scott, Ireland, Buchanan, Ella Raines, and Arthur Kennedy star under John Sturges' direction. Army captain Scott is branded a coward for not taking part in Custer's disastrous Last Stand. Rather than live with the stigma the rest of his life, he sets out to prove his detractors wrong, in "7th Cavalry" (1956). Barbara Hale, Jeanette Nolan, Jay C. Flippen co-star. 5 1/2 hrs. total on four discs. Standard/Widescreen; Soundtrack: English Dolby Digital stereo; photo gallery; poster gallery; more.
