Having already lost his wife, a man (Masahiro Kobayashi, also the writer/director) grieves doubly over the tragic death of his daughter after she is stabbed to death by a classmate. Moving from the area, he resettles in northern Japan and fatefully encounters the mother of his daughter's killer. Fierce and affecting drama co-stars Makiko Watanabe. 102 min.
