The haunting and moody score tells the story of two elderly American veterans who travel back to the island of Attu in Alaska's Aleutian Islands -- the site of a secret Japanese invasion during World War II where 4,000 people died. The score was written and performed by acclaimed artists Jay Clarke and Jeff Stuart Saltzman. About the artists: Jay Clarke is a founding member of Portland-based bands The Standard and Dolorean. He has toured with Clinic, The Shins, Wire, Apples in Stereo, Nine Inch Nails, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs and many other bands. Jeff Stuart Saltzman has produced and engineered more than a hundred albums, many at Portland Oregon's legendary Jackpot Recording Studio. He has worked on projects for Sleater-Kinney, King Black Acid and Stephen Malkmus of Pavement.
