There’s a reason why popular tunesmith Oliver Courtney (Basil Rathbone) is so prolific--ghostwriters who he keeps at arms’ length from one another. At least, that was the case, until composer Bob Sommers (Bing Crosby) and lyricist Cherry Lane (Mary Martin) run into each other at a riverside inn, and it starts to dawn on them just how much they have in common.
