An American tourist, Cassie Grant (Christina Ricci), travelling in England is released from the hospital with slight memory loss after being hit by a car. Taken into the home of the woman who was driving, Marion Kirkman (Kerry Fox), Cassie begins experiencing horrific visions depicting the deaths of the local townsfolk. Is there a connection between Cassie's premonitions and the recently unearthed ancient church that Marion's husband (Stephen Dillane) is studying?
