Based on Irwin Shaw's best-selling novel, the groundbreaking ABC miniseries "Rich Man, Poor Man" starred Nick Nolte and Peter Strauss as German-American New England brothers--rebellious boxer Tom Jordache and driven businessman Rudy Jordache--whose divergent lives are followed from the end of World War II to the 1960s. Susan Blakely plays the woman both siblings are drawn to; with Ed Asner, Fionnula Flanagan, Gloria Grahame, Ray Milland, and William Smith as Falconetti. The story continues in "Rich Man, Poor Man: Book II," as U.S. senator Rudy Jordache (Strauss) tries to mentor his brother's son as well as his own stepchild, while at the same time dealing with a mysterious mogul out to destroy him. Peter Haskell, Gregg Henry, James Carroll Jordan, Susan Sullivan also star. 27 1/4 hrs. total on nine discs. Standard; Soundtrack: English. Region Free
