Relocating to a small Oregon town shortly after the events in "The Ring," reporter Rachel Keller (Naomi Watts) and her young son try to rebuild their lives, until a rash of teen homicides convinces her that the vengeful ghost Samara and her evil videotape are back. But when a local physician (Elizabeth Perkins) doubts her claims, Keller must fight to keep custody of her boy, as well as stop the spirit's reign of terror.
