Sent to California to enlist a cadre of rebel sympathizers in the waning days of the Civil War, Confederate officer Lafe Barstow (Errol Flynn) and his men wind up saving a stagecoach attacked by the Shoshone. One of the survivors (future Mrs. Flynn Patrice Wymore), though, is the fiancée of a Union officer (Scott Forbes)...and Barstow might soon find himself pinned between bluecoats and vengeful Indians.
