Rome against Rome is classic peplum with a horror twist. A zombified soldier rising from his coffin, Nosferatu style, is one of the macabre highlights. There's a deadly light that exits the eye of the goddess sculpture but luckily for Gehus, he is immune from it's power. The zombies here are very much in the classical zombie mold, rather than the post Night of the Living Dead flesh eaters. Here they are resurrected in order to perform as mindless slaves. The zombies are turned into fighting machines to destroy the Roman army.
