Director Mervyn LeRoy's colorful remake of the classic 1924 operetta set in the Canadian Rockies follows French-Canadian backwoods woman Rose Marie Lemaitre (Ann Blyth), who has fallen for a rugged trapper named Duval (Fernando Lamas), the target of Royal Mountie Mike Malone (Howard Keel).
