Synopsis
A legendary Texas rock radio station broke new records, attracting top music artists, while whipping its listeners into a frenzy. “Runaway Radio" focuses on Houston’s iconic 101 KLOL – from its humble beginnings in 1970, to how it evolved into one of the top Album Oriented Rock stations in the country. It was seemingly unstoppable until the government stepped in. Lyle Lovett, ZZ Top’s Dusty Hill, Melissa Etheridge and Sammy Hagar, along with top DJs, reflect on the tremendous impact of the station, as well as it’s place in musical history.
