ABC's 1975-76 cop drama, spun off "The Rookies," was noted for its hit theme song and intense action, and starred Steve Forrest as Lt. "Hondo" Harrelson, head of an elite Special Weapons And Tactics unit that took on the crooks and situations regular police weren't equipped to handle. Joining Harrelson in S.W.A.T.'s armored van were Officers Jim Street (Robert Urich), T.J. McCabe (James Coleman), and Dominic Luca (Mark Shera), and Sgt. David "Deacon" Kay (Rod Perry).
