Leaving his small-town home behind, young Domenico heads for the bright lights of Milan. But life in the big city proves to be decidedly less glamorous than expected, as he quickly becomes a cog in a corporate machine that threatens to crush his wide-eyed, optimistic spirit. Can a burgeoning romance with an alluring co-worker brighten his dreary daily slog? Sandro Panseri, Loredana Detto, Tullio Kezich star in Ermanno Olmi's heartfelt and funny coming-of-age tale. AKA: "The Job," "The Sound of Trumpets." 93 min. Standard; Soundtrack: Italian mono; Subtitles: English; interview; deleted scene; featurettes. In Italian with English subtitles.
