Mario Lanza's superb voice highlights this classy soap opera in which he plays Damon Vincenti, an aspiring opera singer who falls for Kendall Hale (Joan Fontaine), a socialite who intends to promote his career. When Kendall dumps him, Damon lands in Mexico, falls in love with a matador's daughter (Sarita Montiel), and tries to resurrect his dreams of stardom.
