Shoah: Four Sisters

For his final project, documentarian Claude Lanzmann turned to interviews taken (but only partially used) for his 1985 magnum opus "Shoah" with a quartet of disparate Eastern European Jewish women--each with their own tale of having survived the Holocaust. The candor and courage evidenced as they recount the human tragedy of their circumstances make for a compelling testament that cannot be overlooked. 4 1/2 hrs.
