Berkeley art house theater manager Ben Tanaka (Justin H. Min) was feeling the doldrums of his long-term with Miko Hayashi (Ally Maki). When she takes a three-month internship in NYC, he initially grabs at the chance to explore--particularly with women outside his culture--but the fitful results merge with the realization that Miko's move wasn't just about the job.
