Alice White is titular Broadway chorus girl Dixie Dugan (a role she first played in 1928’s "Show Girl"), who catches the eye of a Tinseltown director and is taken west. Offering a satirical look at the early days of sound filmmaking, this lively, musical-comedy also stars Jack Mulhall, Ford Sterling, Blanche Sweet; with cameos by Al Jolson, Ruby Keeler, Noah Beery, Walter Pidgeon, and Loretta Young. Songs include "I've Got My Eye on You," "Merrily We Roll Along," and "Hang onto a Rainbow." 77 min. Standard; Soundtrack: English Dolby Digital mono.
