Criminal defense attorney Mark Fenton (Kent Taylor) was angry that his ambitious actress girlfriend Paula Marlo.e (Virginia Grey) used his connections to finagle a part in the latest production from impresario Stephen Elliott (John Litel). That was nothing, though, compared to his response when she announced her engagement to Elliott.
