Three mismatched New York cousins (Carmen Miranda, Phil Silvers, Vivian Blaine) inherit a Southern plantation, and arrive to find it a run-down, in-arrears dump. When an army sergeant (Michael O'Shea) hatches a plan to save the estate by converting it into a home for military wives, all that's needed is money to fix up the place.
