When a short fling with young girlfriend Marin (Amanda Peet) at her family's Long Island estate is cut short by a mild heart attack, playboy music exec Harry Sanborn (Jack Nicholson) is forced to recuperate there. Cared for by Marin's mother, playwright Erica (Diane Keaton), Harry finds himself drawn to her...even though he's still dating Marin, and a doctor (Keanu Reeves) is attracted to the older Erica.
