In this comic outer space (soap) opera stylized to resemble a sci-fi film from the disco era, the captain (Patrick Wilson) of the titular station is tasked with breaking in a new second-in-command (Liv Tyler) after a sexual indiscretion results in his previous partner being relieved of duty.
