Fury (1936)

After being falsely accused of kidnapping, gas station owner Joe Wilson (Spencer Tracy) is put in a small-town jail and becomes the focus of a vigilante mob set on lynching him. After a stunning escape, the believed-dead Joe connives a fitting revenge.
