In Depression-era Wyoming, Clay and Olivia Spencer (Henry Fonda, Maureen O'Hara) always managed to provide for their large brood, but they’re now faced with the difficult choice of sending their scholarly oldest (James MacArthur) to college, or building a new home in their mountainside stake. Compassionate drama based on a novel by "Waltons" creator Earl Hamner, Jr., that also served as the basis for that series, co-stars Mimsy Farmer, Wally Cox, Virginia Gregg and, in his screen farewell, Donald Crisp. 118 min. Widescreen (Enhanced); Soundtrack: English DTS HD mono Master Audio; Subtitles: English (SDH).
