Story of a Woman

While studying in Rome, aspiring concert pianist Karin Ullman (Bibi Andersson) fell into a passionate affair with medical student Bruno Cardini (James Farentino)...and fled home to Sweden heartbroken when she discovers he has a wealthy wife. She eventually builds a life and family with American diplomat David Frasier (Robert Stack)--but what happens when he's assigned to Italy, and a now-widowed Bruno re-enters her life?
