A minor surgical procedure turns into a major upheaval in the life of Julie Messinger (Dyan Cannon) when her husband (Laurence Luckinbill) goes to the hospital to have a mole removed. After horrific complications from the operation send him into a coma, Julie discovers unpalatable truths about her spouse when she gathers a group of friends together for support.
