Summer Interlude (Criterion Collection)

Typical of the films that marked Ingmar Bergman's early "summer" period was this drama of an unhappy teenage girl (Harriet Andersson), weary of her miserable home life and dead-end job, who impulsively takes off on a boating getaway with a similarly frustrated young man (Lars Ekborg).
