With Prohibition's end, ex-bootlegger Edward G. Robinson decides to enter the world of high society in the gangster comedy "The Little Giant" (1933), co-starring Mary Astor, Russell Hopton. Ex-cop Robinson is hired as an "advisor" by mob boss Barton MacLane, but gunman Humphrey Bogart doesn't him, in "Bullets or Ballots" (1936). Eddie's a fight promoter who sees stars when a bellhop's skills mark him as a potential champion, but fists fly when "Kid Galahad" (1937) falls for Robinson's sister. Bette Davis, Wayne Morris, Bogart co-star. And crooks Robinson, Broderick Crawford, and Edward Brophy buy a luggage shop so they can break into a neighboring bank, only to have their "front" business become a success, in "Larceny, Inc."
