Respected London surgeon Daniel Milton (Mark Strong) refused to accept that there was no cure for his terminally ill researcher wife Beth (Catherine McCormack). For the needed funding, he established an illegal clinic in the service tunnels below Temple Underground, catering to the desperate--and the dangerous--who wanted their treatment outside the system and would pay good money to get it.
