After a Ukrainian mission gone sideways, a CIA operative known as "The Protagonist" (John David Washington) finds himself in the hire of Tenet, a shadowy agency boasting technology that can warp the flow of time. His mission is to thwart Andrei Sator (Kenneth Branagh), a Russian oligarch with access to the same science--and an endgame of destruction.
