An unusual group of talent came together for this comedy-drama with musical numbers. Action star Tim Jones (Richard Arlen) and gal pal Betty (Ellen Drew) try to cheer up Betty's father, who is suffering from depression. A series of musical numbers from real-life bandleader Freddie "Schnickelfritz" Fisher and pianist Gene Rogers try to spark Dad out of his rut. There's also animation from Dave Fleischer, who co-produced this effort, based on an Irving Wallace story. With Leonid Kinskey, Minor Watson. Soundtrack: English.
