The Affair of the Necklace

Set in the late-1700s court of Louis XVI, this sweeping, fact-based historical drama stars Hilary Swank as Jeanne St. Remy de Valois, a French countess whose family was disgraced due to her late father's politics. To regain her status, Valois crafts an elaborate con upon an immoral cardinal (Jonathan Pryce) to obtain possession of a priceless necklace, and recruits her randy lover (Simon Baker), an Italian count (Christopher Walken), and her philandering husband (Adrien Brody) for the scheme. 117 min.
