Boris Karloff stars as Dr. Bernard Adrian, a scientist experimenting with a cure for polio that requires a transfusion of spinal fluid. His samples destroyed by an escaped circus ape on a rampage (isn’t that always the way), the desperate doc--having killed the crazed simian--decides to wear the animal’s skin as he goes about murdering locals to replenish his supply of the precious fluid.
