The Ballad of Cable Hogue

Left to die in the desert by his scheming partners, hapless prospector Cable Hogue (Jason Robards) saw his hard luck finally turn when he stumbled upon the only water hole in two counties. Though he builds a profitable rest stop on the claim, his dreams of revenge on his cronies--and his growing affection for a local prostitute (Stella Stevens)--might prove his undoing.
