The Clairvoyant

The act of stage mentalist Maximus (Claude Rains) was a con like many others, with his wife Rene (Fay Wray) feeding him clues. That was until the night Christine Shawn (Jane Baxter) sat in the audience--because, in her presence, he became a genuine clairvoyant. As he keeps her close at hand, and stokes Rene's resentments, will his newfound gifts and the resultant celebrity bring about a ruin he didn't foresee?
