William S. Hart stars in this pair of action-packed silent westerns. First, he's Jim Houston, a minister who's handy with a six-shooter, in "The Disciple." While Houston tries to clean up the town of Barren Gulch, his wife (Dorothy Dalton) leaves him for a sleazy doctor and gambling hall proprietor (Robert McKim). When his daughter (Thelma Salter) falls ill, Houston has no choice but to turn to his rival for help. And, on the harsh Alaskan landscape, prospector "Yukon" Ed (Hart) clashes with a slimy big city playboy (George Fisher) who ran on his pregnant girlfriend and now has his sights set on the woman (Enid Markey) Ed loves.
