Filmed in and around such New York landmarks as Macy's, Central Park and Chinatown, the poignant drama "Lovers and Lollipops" (1956) from Morris Engel and Ruth Orkin tracks the growing jealousy a widow's 7-year-old daughter feels towards the attention her mother is paying to her new boyfriend. Next, "Weddings and Babies" (1960) is Engel's charming love story, filmed in New York's Little Italy and detailing the relationship between a photographer and the model he loves but can't commit to.
