While working as personal assistant to famed singer Grace Davis (Tracee Ellis Ross), Maggie Sherwoode (Dakota Johnson) aspires to bigger and better things in the music biz. Her desire to become a record producer drives Maggie’s effort to push Grace’s career in a new direction, while also trying to help a young musician (Kelvin Harrison, Jr.) get started.
