The Island Monster is an Italian thriller film starring Boris Karloff, Franca Marzi and Germana Paolien. An Italian government agent is assigned to break up a drug smuggling ring on the island of Ischia, but his daughter is kidnapped by the gang. Don Gaetano (Boris Karloff) is an apparently respectable man but the leader of a gang of traffickers, they kidnap a little girl to force the police not to investigate the gang. A woman who is a member of the gang aides in freeing the little girl and arrests the criminals. The legendary Boris Karloff is the main villain in this movie as he hides behind his island doctor alias and acts as a major drug smuggler and child kidnapper. The plot builds in intensity as the story moves along. Some surprises yet to be disclosed, but how can you go wrong with Boris Karloff playing the lead character. A good watch!
