After discovering that her crooked accountants had cleaned her out, overbearing perfume magnate Hilary Kramer (Barbra Streisand) finds that her last remaining asset is the tax-shelter contract of aging boxer Eddie "Kid Natural" Scanlon (Ryan O'Neal).
